Technological Innovation: it will reward a company that has developed and introduced a new product, packaging, or technology to the market or has successfully improved one of them, providing a competitive advantage for the development of its business.
Business Innovation: this category will recognize changes in business processes or models. Aspects related to the implementation of production, logistics, distribution, or product or service support activities that are new or provide a significant improvement will be taken into account.
Innovation in Markets: the BTEMs will highlight new strategies or commercial concepts that bring about a significant improvement. Thus, market strategies aimed at internationalisation will be valued, as well as the exploration of new channels such as digital.
These three categories coincide with the three Strategic Action Areas defined in the Basque Government’s economic and competitiveness strategy, which form part of the Basque Food Cluster’s own Strategic Plan and AZTI’s Strategic Plan.
