He is a multidisciplinary scientist with experience in food and the environment and a Highly Cited Researcher (Clarivate, 2019, 2021). He is the R&I of Galanakis Laboratories (Greece), an Adjunct Professor of Taif University (Saudi Arabia), and the Director of Food Waste Recovery Group (Austria). He has worked as a freelance expert and consultant for different bodies (e.g., EC, WIPO, and EBRD), and he has published >60 research articles and >50 edited books.
